AUSTRAC
National Performance Management Skills Training Program
In implementing a new Performance Management System, AUSTRAC recognised that improved performance would be more a function of leaders’ skills and confidence in undertaking performance management activities, than the system itself. As such AUSTRAC engaged PB Performance and Development to develop and deliver a series of half day workshops for all Managers across Australia.
The workshop, titled “Empowering Staff to Perform at Their Best”, emphasised the manager’s role in influencing the performance of their staff, and examined the actions and behaviours they could take that would set their people up to succeed. Optimising high performance, supporting under-performance and challenging performance conversations were also covered.
AUSTRAC Senior Executive Staff, in recognising the important role they play in both championing performance management and in supporting their managers to undertake it, took part in a facilitated discussion which outlined the workshop material, and allowed the sharing of organisational challenges and opportunities with respect to performance management.
