Performance Management Skills Training
Sportsmed SA engaged PB Performance and Development to design and deliver performance management skills workshops for Managers within the Hospital and Orthopaedic divisions. Jo designed the workshops around the client’s Performance Assessment and Development policy, using the newly agreed non-negotiable behaviours as a foundation. The content (developed from contemporary performance management thinking and incorporating client specific scenarios) emphasised the value of genuine, development-focused conversations over annual, rating-based assessments.
Following the success of the program, Jo was invited to present a staff session on direct, genuine conversations as part of a Professional Development day. A pilot Performance Management Support Service has also been established to provide just-in-time phone coaching and advice to people managers who attended the training workshop to support them to address performance issues in real time.
